Dec. 2007 Seattle Magazine article, Talking Trash – 1st place SPJ award.
• Feb. 2007 Seattle Magazine article, Is There a Road to Justice? – 1st place Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) award, and a MADD Media Award
• May 2006 Seattle Magazine article, No Place Like Home – 1st place SPJ award.
• Aug. 2004 Puget Sound Business Journal article, Generous Compensation for Execs Draws Scrutiny – 2005 national Society of Business Editors and Writers ‘Best in Business’ award.
• While at PSBJ, recipient of a 2001 American Eagle award for overall achievement from parent company American City Business Journals, a 40-paper chain. Also recipient of six SPJ Awards from 2001-2005.
• Recipient of the 1997 Godfrey M. Lebhar Article of the Year award from Lebhar-Friedman, parent company of National Home Center News.
